Converting real life pens into hex colours is a big process, but I did it!
When I started bullet journalling, I knew I wanted to get a nice set of coloured pens to write with. My mum ended up buying me the 32 piece box set of Steadtler Triplus Fineliners, Brilliant Colours. I really liked their thin triangular shape, the variety of colours, and that they fit in the small pencil case that's attached to the front of my bujo.
I've currently been somewhat transitioning to digital journalling using my iPad Pro and Apple Pencil. But I don't want to completely leave my traditional roots behind. So I undertook the huge task of turning the pens into hexadecimal colours. I did this by drawing colour samples onto some grid paper, scanning them, averaging the colour within each box, adjusting in cases where the scan looked different to the real life image, then putting that info into an Excel database. Oh, and I also made an infographic of the information, because I personally love seeing infographics, especially on Pinterest.
I'll also provide the hex colour codes (and RGB because I'm such a sweetie) in a table so you can copy and paste them easily for future reference.
(It turns out custom tables in Weebly are not the easiest thing, hehe).
I personally would use these colours for pens in my preferred iPad note-taking app, GoodNotes. They let you have custom pen colours by inputting hex colour codes. If you find other good uses for these hex colours, for journalling or anything else, please leave a comment and let me know! Until next time, xx Jess

I am just starting out on the adventure of sketching and coloring. I bought a tin of Staedtler colored pencils and the have numbers not colors. The online tutorial I am doing calls out colors so I wanted to figure out what I had. I am looking for #175 which is a dark blue.

I am really thankful for this page, didn't think anyone had done it, but it has been really helpful (I'm trying to go digital and it's nice to keep my fineliners' colour scheme). A lot of kudos to you, Jess!!
